About Us:

This website is dedicated to providing information about the Mullan Road, the first wagon road across the northern Rockies. As indicated by the menu above, we provide information about many facets of the Mullan Road story, including full texts of key sources of the time, modern essays, bibliographies, and maps. Some of the materials and articles that appear in this website were compiled by former history students at Eastern Washington University. 

Goals:

• Provide an awesome source of information about the road.
• Encourage public appreciation of this historic road.
• Advocate for the federal recogition of this route as a National Historic Trail.
• Encourge and facilitate related projects, such as creating an audio tour guide of the route.
